The Dive Show, Birmingham NEC
Well, what a brilliant show to attend, celebrating over 10 years of helping guests with their photography and 11 years since launching the first ever courses in the UK dedicated to helping compact camera users take underwater photographs. A very special thank you as always to DIVER magazine and all my fellow exhibitors and the visitors themselves for making this event so special. It was amazingly busy and I didn't stop talking the whole of Saturday. Can you believe that I was thinking that my being on my feet all night on my hospital shifts were actually easier than...
Newborn Baby Photography in Wareham
Finally, after what seems like forever, I had my first day in the studio to launch newborn studio photoshoots with a variety of props and costumes. What I couldn't believe, was that a lovely visitor with her gorgeous little one month newborn was waiting for me when I arrived in the morning! So finally the studio was polished today and it is definitely starting to look like a studio again after coming back from the Birmingham Dive Show. Cards have been made for the window display and lights have been bought to give this gorgeous carriage a very special look....
New Family and Baby Photography Shoots
So Thursday was a very special day welcoming Lisa and her lovely family of her partner Gary, Sammy, Jacob and little 3 month old Chloe. This was the first time that I had created this kind of photoshoot as it is a dream of mine to raise money for children in need at Poole Hospital where I work. A variety of backdrops were set-up whilst Lisa, Gary and the boys relaxed on the sofa drinking freshly brewed coffee and warm fresh home-baked chocolate chunk muffins topped with choccie fudge sauce. Little Chloe took it all in her...
A beautiful sunrise on the River Frome
Monday morning, and the start of training to work as an HCA at my local community hospitals including those at Wareham and Swanage and I couldn't have asked for a more lovely start to the day. The colours on the river change on a daily basis, sometimes they're orange, sometimes pink, and on a very foggy or misty morning, you can't see anything at all. But it's always a calming place to feel better after a difficult shift, walk Simba and take in the glorious views. This was taken with my phone, and edited on it. I have been using...
Printing Photos onto Canvas, Wareham, Dorset
So last week was a very special week delivering two photos emailed to be the previous evening for a lovely local lady. Amy has been incredibly courageous fighting a battle with a rare kind of ovarian cancer, going through chemo, but being so strong for her family which blew me away. You can read more of her story on her Facebook page which you can find by tapping in this title - Wombles small cell ovarian cancer fight + awareness. I'm really trying hard to stick to her inspirational words "I'm happy with the now" and thanks so much Amy for the lovely chat and drink when I...
