Learn Underwater Photography in Bournemouth, Dorset

Have you thought that beautiful underwater images were only possible with big, heavy, expensive camera equipment? Shall I let you into a secret? You can take beautiful, award-winning, publishable, printable images using your phone, Go Pro or a small compact camera. 

Come and join me where I'll share all my secrets with you as to how to capture eye-catching images during my new evening or full day workshops in the heart of Bournemouth at the beautiful Queens Hotel & Spa, nestled on the seafront and close to both the train and coach station.  Free Parking is available as well as a beautiful range of facilities from overnight stays, restaurants, luxury bar and a stunning spa too.  Room prices start from just £59 per night.

      

Choose from a 3 hour Introduction to Underwater Photography workshop which includes a One Hour Pool Session in a toasty 31 degree pool where you can practice techniques.  We will cover the following:-

Setting Up Your Camera Correctly/Understanding Underwater Mode

Understanding your ISOs

How Apertures Help Capture the Tiny Details in Images

Get Creative Using Your Shutter Speed/EV Mode 

We will then practice these techniques in the pool and review in a private area adjacent to the bar afterwards.  

This course starts at 6.30 pm and finishes at 9.30 pm.  An online zoom call is also included beforehand at a time convenient to you to help you set up your camera correctly before the course. 

Cost £50 per person.  The course is for a maximum of 4 people.

A private 1-2-1 course is £145.

A Full Afternoon/Evening Course covering all of the above plus an extensive session in Composition Skills

This course will start at 3 pm and will cover all of the above.  We will also have time to review a selection of your own images and have an extensive look at the use of different lenses, how to capture both macro and wide-angle images, plus lighting techniques using torches or different strobes and the benefits they offer compared to shooting with natural light.

We will practice all of the techniques learnt in the pool at 8 pm with time to review afterwards.  The course will finish between 9.30 pm - 10 pm.

Cost £150 per person.  This course is for a maximum of 2 people.
