Maria Munn's Life Saved by St James Hospital in Leeds, Yorkshire
March also turned out to be an incredibly busy month and was super proud to be in the Yorkshire Post to hopefully inspire others who go through life-changing injuries that there can be hope to find a passion and purpose in life as well as beauty around our coastline. It has been a passion of mine to help cover hospital staff shortages whilst I'm not in my studio to give others hope and strength to go through difficult times and I owe the hughest thank you to the team at St James' Hospital and Leeds General Infirmary for this. I...
Purbeck Coast FM Radio - Guest Speaker on The Dangers of Ghostnets
February really was a busy month and I was super touched to be invited by Annabelle to chat on Purbeck Coast about Ghost Nets. Little did I know that I was going to rescue another one shortly after this programme! It was really lovely to be able to raise awareness of the danger that these nets can cause to our marine life and birds and to alert so many people to call the Sea Shepherd Ghostnet Campaign if they see one who can send out volunteers to help remove these nets safely if I'm not around to help. As usual,...
Ghost Net Removal in Swanage Bay

One of my regular visitors to my studio came to me. on Christmas Eve distraught that he had found this net up by The Grand Hotel and. had tried to cut it but it was stuck on the end of a...

It was hugely busy and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you who came to visit me. I always feel a bit shy not having a gazebo but the lovely Rotary Club have promised me one...
Planet Purbeck Festival
After a whirlwind week from Swanage to the New Forest for my night shift then to Birmingham, back to the New Forest, Windsor to pay my respects to our Queen who I helped to protect indirectly through my work with the Metropolitan Police, then back to Birmingham, it was time to head back to Swanage to help our brilliant Planet Purbeck team and raise some ocean awareness. It really was all about teamwork with Dorset Wildlife Trust, Swanage Beach Buddies and the brilliant Clare from Surfers Against Sewage taking part too. It really was an amazing event and although...
