It still seems unbelievable that from being in that hospital bed watching a programme on whale sharks, being told that I wasn't going to live or then walk again, to believe that the BBC reached out to interview me both on radio and for an online feature, as well as my work being highlighted on TV. It's been an incredible long journey which has seen me launch shark conservation campaigns, go undercover to try to save Manta Rays from being fished for their benefits to chinese medicine and then both my recent snorkelling efforts and those to rescue a ghost fishing net from Swanage and then turn were recognised by them.
It's still incredible to believe that I drove 70 miles back after night shift through the snow and ice from Petersfield to then buy 3 pairs of scissors and knives to cut through it before returning to my next night shift at the New Forest.
