No sooner had my toes touched my studio after my photography talk, it was time to welcome Lucy to the studio who rocked up wanting to learn how to snorkel properly. With a very tight weather window of just that day before the weather turned, there was no option but to dive right in and help her.
And even then it rained! But that didn't stop the fun. We went through the studio with lots of hot drinks before heading to the Pier in the rain. Lucy was just so excited about learning her new-found snorkelling skills, using fins and learning about all the marine life which grace Swanage Pier. Even though the viz wasn't the best, we could still see Montagu's Blennies, Beadlet Anemones, Shannies and lots of beautiful marine life including Snakelock Anemones underneath us.
It was the best feeling seeing Lucy super excited about her future adventures and give her the confidence and skills to be able to snorkel by herself.
The hughest thank you goes to Sophie and Simon for being the bravest surface support in the rain.
