What an incredible day bringing together together everything I love about the ocean to help raise money for our brilliant local RNLI Team. From talking to visitors about the work of the Marine Conservation Society, the Cornwall Seal Research Trust, running quizzes on marine creatures we can find in Swanage both above and underwater, chatting photography and snorkelling safety tips to showing how beautiful recycled products can look, it was a day which dreams are made of.
I held a raffle of an image taken in Swanage recently titled "Underwater Sunshine" which raised money for Swanage Lifeboat Station. A huge thank you to David Corben, MBE, for helping to draw the prize winner from my recycled Ocean Plastic Flower Pot beautifully made by Ocean Plastic Pots in Scotland. A huge well done to Alan who won!
I chatted about snorkelling, sharing tips and ideas with visitors and let them know about the amazing Ocean Film Festival which would be touring the UK from next month.
I even got to chat portuguese with my beautiful neighbour Beth.
A huge thank you to the Swanage Lifeboat Team and Corbens for letting me take part and to everyone who came along, I couldn't walk this morning and am still struggling this afternoon, but it meant the world to me to chat to you all.
Roll on next year's event.
