Four different events already booked for this summer to help raise local awareness of what is under our seas. The first one at the Swanage Fairy Festival on Friday 31st May and Saturday 1st June was absolutely packed and I felt so lucky to create so much awareness of our ocean, love for sharks and introduce hundreds of visitors to The Shark Trust App where Eggcase Finds on beaches can be uploaded and identified. There were ocean quizzes to guess our local underwater visitors and the work of the Marine Conservation Society and one on recycled plastics too plus we got to learn about the differences between grey seals and harbour seals. It was so much fun, the youngster and older youngsters learnt loads and there were queues for shark selfies too. A huge thank you to everyone who came along.
Can't wait to do it all again this coming Saturday 8th June at Little Birds Preschool next to St Marys Church in Swanage from 10 to 12 am.
