As an NHS worker at our local hospitals, I've often thought to myself during my night shifts "The nurses and medical teams here are always getting treats from the patients, but what about those who are on the road in all weathers helping others. How does the chocolate fairy get to them?"
So I decided to do something about it. First stop was to the volunteers and emergency teams who were out searching for missing locals Gaia Pope, then to those looking for Gerald Turner in Swanage. After that was to my local ambulance station in Swanage, followed soon by my local ambulance station in Wareham.
I hope that they liked it - I'll never forget the police team's faces light up in Swanage recently who were searching for Gerald when they saw all the varieties of Kipling cakes that I took them :)
