Swanage by Night
Last September I also had a chance to go for a night snorkel which was so much fun in the bay and managed to pick up some litter too! I love the bay at night time in the summer, you can see so many different creatures come out to hunt, feed and even. hold hands! The colours under Swanage Pier seem to come even more alive at night time with a torch to illuminate them too. There were so many baby anemones out, I just loved their pink tentacles waving in the dark catching food. I really can't wait...
Summer Fete with the Rotary Club, Swanage
How much fun can someone have at a summer fete helping to educate visitors of all ages about our local seas and conservation news? I have to say that I was a bit nervous at doing my first summer event in Swanage but it was an absolute dream being able to chat to guests all day long about The Great Eggcase Hunt project by The Shark Trust, the Marine Conservation Society and the work of The Seahorse Trust as well as sharing with children the amazing items that can be made out of recycled single-use plastic. . I...
Swimming with Seals at Lundy Island/Testing a Sealife Sport Diver Housing for my iPhone
. Last August saw me return to one of my my favourite places in the world, Lundy Island in Devon to test out a Sealife Sport Diver Housing for my iPhone 13 Pro Max as well as some snorkelling equipment for MARES. I have to say that I was super sceptical as to how my phone was going to work with taking underwater images, but couldn't have been prouder to see how simple and easy it was to obtain images with this housing. It was super simple to use with one hand, had controls to adjust the exposure compensation,...
Welcoming Lineda to Swanage to Try Out Some MARES Products
Soon after saying "See you Soon" to Heather, it was time to welcome Lineda to Swanage who was super keen to try out some MARES goodies. Lineda frequently comes to Swanage with her daughter, who wasn't as keen to be a model for me, but we still had a beautiful time exploring the bay and yes, the water really was this clear. No photoshop was needed. As you can see the fins that MARES lent me fitted in perfectly with the surrounding scenery. Thanks so much Lineda for coming along and look forward to welcoming you again this summer :)
Welcoming Heather to Swanage
It was such an incredible day helping to introduce Heather to the ocean for the first time and prepare her for an up-coming trip to swim with orcas in Norway here in Swanage Bay last August visiting me from neighbouring Wiltshire to develop her sea skills. We. met at the Swanage 1859 cafe in the early morning and went through all the necessary snorkelling and photography skills that she needed to know before heading straight to the ocean to practice. You would never have guessed that it was Heather's first time in the ocean, she became...
