  It really has been an incredible few weeks introducing so many guests to our beautiful Swanage Pier and showing them the incredible amount of marine life that we have here in the bay.  But the courses were also about safety, teaching them about snorkelling equipment, developing skills, teaching them about safety and combining all of this into a 4 hour experience with a Scuba Schools International Snorkel Diver recognition certificate to match. This summer has literally just flown away and I'm completely blown away with the success of helping encourage newcomers to take their first fin steps into our beautiful ocean world. "I can't believe they're still talking about you." April saw me being invited as a "Guest Speaker" to Wareham Camera Club at their yearly party as they were full for speakers for the rest of the year.  It was the first time that I had given a talk about the beauty of our Dorset Coastline, what they could see underwater and how to approach these subjects themselves by snorkelling sharing tips and techniques. March also turned out to be an incredibly busy month and was super proud to be in the Yorkshire Post to hopefully inspire others who go through life-changing injuries that there can be hope to find a passion and purpose in life as well as beauty around our coastline. February really was a busy month and I was super touched to be invited by Annabelle to chat on Purbeck Coast about Ghost Nets.  Little did I know that I was going to rescue another one shortly after this programme! It was really lovely to be able to raise awareness of the danger that these nets can cause to our marine life and birds and to alert so many people to call the Sea Shepherd Ghostnet Campaign if they see one who can send out volunteers to help remove these nets safely if I'm not around to help.
